Job Summary

East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a full-time Consultant in Neuro-Rehabilitation to provide out-patient and ward referral services, as well as in-patient support to the neuro-rehabilitation ward. The successful candidate will join a team of experienced professionals and contribute to the development of specialist interests, research, and teaching.

Main Duties

The Consultant will be responsible for the care of patients in their charge, undertaking administrative duties, and cooperating with the Clinical Director and Care Group Management on organisational and budget issues. The role will also involve flexible commitments, including administration, management, committee work, and relative interviews.

About Us

The Trust is one of the largest in the country, with three acute sites and a strong commitment to working jointly with partners in the community. The successful applicant will be joining a team of 10 Consultant Neurologists, 2 Consultant Neurophysiologists, and a Rehabilitation Consultant. There are close links with the King's College Hospital Regional Neuroscience Centre at Denmark Hill in London.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have a CCST Specialist Registration in Rehabilitation Medicine or will obtain it within 6 months of the interview date. Essential qualifications include Professional Qualifications, Full GMC Registration, and experience in inpatient and outpatient neurological clinical care. The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is also essential.
