Head of Performance Marketing Lead

Since launching in January 2019, we've shipped hundreds of thousands of units globally and partnered with brands like Pangaia, Red Bull, and The North Face. We've collected over 1.5 billion plastic bottles in weight and improved livelihoods at the same time. About the RoleWe're looking for a highly skilled and self-motivated Head of Performance Marketing to lead our Marketing team. You'll be a growth specialist with a proven track record of leading marketing efforts across D2C and B2B functions. You'll be responsible for shaping the vision, strategy, and plans based on sharp customer, product, and market insights.
You'll oversee the Growth/Performance Marketing team and manage, optimize, innovate, and expand performance marketing channels. You'll be responsible for delivering strategies to grow new customer acquisition plans. As part of the Marketing Leadership team, you'll collaborate with your peers and work with the CMO to create a truly global vision for performance marketing.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and identify new strategies to further scale performance marketing function across multiple channels while maintaining efficiency
- Implement and continue to refine a comprehensive framework for evaluating performance marketing spend with a focus on optimizing key metrics like CAC, LTV, and ROI
- Continue to improve our Amazon, Paid Search, and Paid Social channel growth metrics
- Unlock and scale up other channels like LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Affiliates, and any other performance channel opportunities
- Drive the development of end-to-end marketing and digital acquisition strategies on a global scale (UK, US, EU, and ROW)
- Manage, optimize, innovate, and expand performance marketing channels through a test-and-learn approach to maximize cost-effective customer acquisition
- Partner effectively with our brand, creative, and B2B marketing teams to drive a cohesive marketing strategy for the business
- Serve as a critical thought partner to the CMO and other senior leaders on adapting our performance marketing strategies as our business continues to evolve
- Oversee Ocean Bottle companion app marketing, including strategies for driving installs and in-app engagement
- Collaborate with Sales, NPD, Impact, Tech, Ops, Procurement, and wider business leads to identify efficiencies and improve effectiveness in our acquisition channels through innovative approaches to strategy, targeting, delivery, and capabilities
- In-depth analysis, reporting, and forecasting on key performance metrics, identifying areas of opportunity across all online acquisition channels to support company growth targets and drive future strategies
- Demonstrate curiosity and outside-in thinking on best and evolving practices, ensuring the team is constantly at the edge of the newest high-potential opportunities or ways of working
- Apply critical thinking skills to identify and size new acquisition opportunities and make new recommendations to drive business growth
