About the Role

Sense Education Limited is seeking a skilled Graduate Speech and Language Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a SEN teaching assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with communication challenges in a school setting.

Responsibilities
  1. Assist pupils in developing their speech and language skills, focusing on those with Autism and learning disabilities.
  2. Collaborate with teachers to create individualized communication plans for each pupil.
  3. Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes social interaction and skill development.
Requirements

To succeed in this position, you must have:

  • Experience supporting children or adults with SEN.
  • Familiarity with PECS and Makaton, although not essential.
  • A passion for working with individuals with diverse needs and abilities.
Compensation and Benefits

This role comes with an estimated annual salary of £26,500 - £32,000, commensurate with experience. You will also enjoy:
