About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and dedicated Lead Practitioner to join our Learning Disabilities team in Dundee. As a Lead Practitioner, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality support to our service users, meeting their individual needs and promoting their independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake initial assessments and follow-up reviews of service users, creating and reviewing support plans to ensure their needs are met.
- Manage paperwork and record-keeping for service user reviews, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
- Provide leadership and on-the-job training to staff, taking lead on shifts and promoting service development and improvement.
- Support and supervise staff members, administering medication and maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- Undertake sleepovers, overnight, and weekend working as required.
- Prepare and implement risk management plans to ensure the safety and well-being of service users.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum SVQ3 qualification.
- Direct experience working with individuals who have learning disabilities and/or forensic histories.
- Experience working to SSSC standards.
- An understanding of the causes and effects of social exclusion.
- Experience in organisational planning and record-keeping.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and protection.
