Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Building Surveyor to join our team in Glasgow or Edinburgh. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of post-qualification experience and be a Chartered Building Surveyor. They should possess excellent Contract Administration and Project Management skills, with a strong understanding of current legislation relating to Health & Safety and Building Regulations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects from inception to completion, including inspecting existing properties, developing scope, budget costs, and programmes for project works. They will also liaise regularly with clients to understand their requirements and keep them informed of project activities.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects in both the public and private sectors, including dilapidation, PPM, condition, schedule of condition, pre-acquisition surveys. You will also be required to provide cost advice to clients and coordinate and prepare reports for projects.

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Chartered Building Surveyor qualification
  • At least 2 years of post-qualification experience
  • Excellent Contract Administration and Project Management skills
  • Strong understanding of current legislation relating to Health & Safety and Building Regulations
  • Able to demonstrate awareness of construction technology and the interplay between the construction process and building defects
  • Proficient in the use of CAD with a working knowledge of building standards and related processes
