What You'll Be Doing
As a Maintenance Technician, your primary responsibilities will include carrying out planned and reactive maintenance activities across our care homes. This will involve following a work schedule to ensure that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Some of the specific duties include:
  • Maintaining the upkeep of our care homes, including groundswork, inspections, and repairs
  • Ensuring that all equipment and machinery are properly maintained and serviced
  • Carrying out risk assessments and method statements to identify potential hazards and develop strategies for mitigating them
  • Supervising and managing subcontractor activities carried out at Loveday Homes
  • Receiving and inventorying deliveries, unpacking and storing goods as required
  • Handling heavy items and moving furniture as needed
  • Carrying out remedial repair works in accordance with quoted works
  • Reviewing risk assessment and method statements to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Managing COSHH safely and following proper procedures
  • Carrying out any other task that may be reasonably assigned to you
