Compassionate Palliative Care Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our Hospice at Home team, providing exceptional care and support to patients and their families.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, delivering high-quality palliative care to individuals in need. As a Senior Healthcare Assistant, you will be responsible for carrying out personal care and activities of daily living for individual patients and groups, under the guidance of the Clinical Nurse Specialists.
You will work closely with our nursing staff to provide both practical and emotional support, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care in the comfort of their own homes.
This role requires a caring and empathetic approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities- Delivering personal care and activities of daily living for patients, under the guidance of the Clinical Nurse Specialists
- Working collaboratively with nursing staff to provide holistic care and support
- Maintaining accurate records and reports, as required
- Developing effective relationships with patients, families, and carers
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care
- Previous experience in palliative care, preferably within a Ward and/or Community nursing team
- Ability to deal with challenging situations and prioritise tasks effectively
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- A full, current UK driving license and access to a vehicle (for business use)
We offer a competitive salary range of £27,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits, including:
