Role Overview
The position of Medical Field Service Engineer, Surgical and Ophthalmic Instrumentation, involves providing service, breakdown repair, and maintenance for highly advanced Surgical Microscopes and Ophthalmic Instrumentation located at hospitals. This role is an excellent opportunity for a Field Service Engineer or ex HM Forces Engineer to join a market-leading manufacturer of surgical microscopy and ophthalmic devices.

Salary and Benefits
Basic salary range: £42,000 - £45,000 per annum, plus a 15% bonus (earnings £48,000 - £51,000). The package includes company car (hybrid or electric), generous lunch allowance, expenses policy, pension, private medical cover, life assurance, flexible benefits, and 28 days holiday.

Responsibilities
You will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining the equipment at various locations. Your duties will include troubleshooting, performing routine maintenance tasks, and ensuring that all work is carried out efficiently and effectively.

Requirements
This role requires a background in electrical-mechanical or electronic high-value equipment. You should have excellent problem-solving skills, good communication abilities, and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
