About the Role


We are seeking an experienced Medical Leadership Specialist to lead our MacMillan Information service across Kent and Medway. The successful candidate will provide strategic direction, working collaboratively with key stakeholders throughout the Kent and Medway ICB and in line with the Cancer Alliance.


The post-holder will manage a team of healthcare professionals and implement a model of accessible information that meets the needs of patients with cancer. This is a challenging but rewarding role that requires strong leadership and communication skills.


Key Responsibilities



  • To develop and implement a vision for the MacMillan Information service that aligns with the Cancer Alliance's goals and objectives.
  • To lead a team of healthcare professionals in providing high-quality patient information and support services.
  • To work closely with other NHS teams and external partners to ensure seamless delivery of services and promote collaborative working.
  • To identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address these, ensuring continuous quality improvement.

Requirements



  • A Master's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Proven experience in leadership and management, with a track record of delivering high-quality services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with national cancer policy and guidance, as well as NHS and Macmillan initiatives relevant to improving cancer services.

Salary and Benefits


The salary for this role is estimated to be around £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including a generous pension scheme, annual leave entitlement, and opportunities for professional development and career progression.
