Job Title: General Practice Nurse Trainee

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join our team as a General Practice Nurse Trainee. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in General Practice Nursing, working with a supportive team and participating in a comprehensive training program.

About the Role

As a General Practice Nurse Trainee, you will be employed by a participating Practice and will work alongside experienced nurses to develop your clinical skills and knowledge. You will be supported by a named mentor and will have access to regular training and development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with the General Practice team to deliver excellent patient outcomes.
  • Develop your skills and knowledge in General Practice Nursing, including cervical screening, sexual health, and chronic disease management.
  • Participate in regular training and development opportunities, including workshops, webinars, and online courses.
  • Work closely with the Practice team to develop and implement care plans, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
Requirements
  • Up-to-date membership of the NMC, preferably adult nursing branch.
  • Qualification at Diploma level in Adult Nursing - University entry criteria varies.
  • Ability to work without constant supervision but remain within safe boundaries of competence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
