Job Title: General Practice Nurse Trainee

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join our General Practice Nurse Trainee programme. As a General Practice Nurse Trainee, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a dynamic and supportive environment.

About the Role

This is a 1-year fixed-term training post for nurses new to General Practice. You will be employed by a supporting Practice and be a full-time employee of the Practice for the duration of your course. Your role will be split between your academic studies and your practical role as a GPN, with the Practice. You will have protected time for attendance at university and completion of assignments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care to patients registered with General Practices.
  • Develop your skills and knowledge in General Practice Nursing through academic studies and practical experience.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in the development of the Practice's policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Up-to-date membership of the NMC, preferably adult nursing branch.
  • Qualification at Diploma level in Adult Nursing - University entry criteria varies.
  • No GPN experience is necessary for this training post. You can apply as a Newly Qualified RN. Equally, you can transition from another area of nursing as long as you have qualified as an Registered Adult Nurse.
