Marine Claims Specialist

Job Summary
Our client, a leading Marine Claims Consultancy, is seeking a highly skilled Marine Claims Handler to join their expanding Recoveries department in the UK. The purpose of this role is to manage and handle a caseload of Marine Claims, utilizing expertise and knowledge to drive successful recoveries.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of Marine Claims, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Handle recoveries from start to finish, including negotiation and settlement.
- Review comprehensive documentation to determine liability and make informed decisions.
- Liaise with clients, brokers, and underwriters to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Responsible for handling fee income and maintaining relationships at all levels.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience within Marine Claims, with a strong understanding of defendant and/or recoveries of claims.
- Excellent IT skills, with proficiency in relevant software and systems.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
- Good organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Law degree or equivalent qualification, with a strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations.
About the Role:
- Permanent position, based in the UK.
- Salary range: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum.
