Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Associate to join our team at the University of Cambridge's MRC Epidemiology Unit. The successful candidate will work within the THRIVING Food Futures consortium, developing and evidencing a typology of policy functions to support healthy, sustainable and equitable diets.

About the Role

This is a fixed-term position for 3 years, and the role can be performed entirely on-site at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge, off-site or as a hybrid position. The successful candidate will be expected to travel to Consortium meetings held around the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and evidence a typology of policy functions to support healthy, sustainable and equitable diets
  • Work within the THRIVING Food Futures consortium to design and evaluate citizen-facing interventions
  • Collaborate with colleagues at City St George's University of London and other consortium partners

Its mission is to study the genetic, developmental and environmental factors that cause obesity, diabetes and related metabolic disorders and develop strategies for their prevention.
