Fitch Ratings' Financial Institutions Business Relationship Management team is seeking an Associate Director or Director based in London.

This exciting role is part of the Financial Institutions Business Relationship Management group in London, reporting to the EMEA head of Non-Bank Financial Institutions. The team's primary objective is to originate new rating mandates and manage relationships with Non-Bank Financial Institutions issuers and other market participants.

We'll Count on You To:

  • Support the team in new mandate generation, focusing on the UK, Ireland, and the Netherlands, with broader EMEA efforts.
  • Analyze the market to identify new prospects and interact with issuers and stakeholders throughout the onboarding process.
  • Develop persuasive pitchbooks and business development materials, generating new ideas for marketing and outreach efforts.
  • Organize and conduct client and external meetings, preparing background information.
  • Work on EMEA Financial Institutions team projects for business development.
  • Represent Fitch at industry events and conferences.
  • Build relationships and expand your network of capital markets professionals.
  • Utilize the Customer Relationship Management system (SalesForce) to record outreach activity, manage opportunities, create agreements, and manage renewals.
  • Be organized, detail-oriented, punctual, enthusiastic, and proactive, with a high level of initiative and ability to conduct various tasks simultaneously.

What You Need to Have:

  • Excellent English communication skills, with great attention to detail, ability to build business relationships, and work independently.
  • Strong technical command of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Must be a team player with a good work ethic and curious mindset.
  • University degree, preferably in a finance-related field.
  • Work experience in a position requiring high integrity and sensitivity to confidential information.
  • Highly motivated, with the ability to set priorities, multitask, and monitor workload to meet aggressive deadlines.

What Would Make You Stand Out:

  • Background and experience in financial services, banking, debt capital markets, corporate finance, or a Credit Ratings Agency environment.
  • Experience in and familiarity with the Non-Bank Financial Institutions sector, financial institutions, or corporates (Levfin and/or IG).
  • Proven trajectory of working with clients and the debt-capital markets community, with the capability to proactively coordinate with external/internal parties.
  • Experience with SalesForce (or other Customer Relationship Management systems) and financial data and analytics platforms, including Bloomberg and FactSet.
  • Strong command of other languages, including French, German, Nordics, Turkish, and others.
  • Other professional or business qualifications (CFA, relevant Master's degree).
