About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Respiratory Physiologist Assistant to join our expanding Respiratory Laboratory team at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

As a Respiratory Physiologist Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disorders, working closely with the medical team, admin team, and other clinical physiologists in the department.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the performance of spirometry and other tests, with training and supervision
  • Developing skills in the performance of spirometry and other tests, leading to the ARTP full certificate in spirometry
  • Working closely with the medical team, admin team, and other clinical physiologists in the department
  • Providing excellent communication and reporting skills, with daily face-to-face interactions with patients
  • Assisting in more advanced investigations, such as CPET testing
