Senior Cardiac Physiologist in Electrophysiology

We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our welcoming Cardio-Respiratory Unit at the Royal Hospital.

The successful candidate will be expected to work as an independent practitioner in permanent pacemaker follow-up and implants, assisting in the running of all present services provided by the cardio-respiratory unit.

Key responsibilities include:

  • To be technically proficient as an independent practitioner in non-invasive cardiology procedures, and permanent pacemaker follow up
  • Working independently to perform and report simple and complex permanent pacemaker follow ups.
  • Analyse, interpret and report complex clinical data PPM follow up undertaking necessary departmental procedure when diagnosing an unexpected finding and liaising/advising with medical staff as required.
  • To assist in the clinical management of patients undergoing cardiac investigations

Requirements:

  • Substantial post qualification experience
  • Experience in training of staff in all grades
  • Wide range of cardiology knowledge, including ECGs and ambulatory ECG analysis

About the role:

This is an ideal opportunity for a current band 7 seeking a change, or forward thinking suitably qualified Band 6 who is looking to develop their career further.

The successful applicant will be expected to participate in the training and appraisal of junior staff and work across the Royal, Aintree and Broadgreen.

Estimated salary: £42,000 - £57,000 per annum based on location and experience.
