Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join the Surgical Therapy team at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be part of an innovative team providing care to patients admitted to Surgical wards following emergency surgery, including patients with complex respiratory and rehabilitation needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical assessment and treatment for complex Surgical patients, including rehabilitation and respiratory components of care.
  • Support the delivery of training and development of junior members of staff to develop clinical skills.
  • Contribute to in-service training programs and participate in departmental planned out-of-hours working and emergency on-call rota.
  • Represent the Physiotherapy Service at multidisciplinary meetings to ensure the delivery of a coordinated multidisciplinary service.

Requirements
  • Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy or equivalent.
  • HCPC registration.
  • Demonstrable post-registration experience in the NHS UK, with majority of clinical experience in the NHS UK.
  • Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team and contributing to clinical education/supervision of less experienced staff, students, or assistants.
