Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Land Acquisition Manager to join our development team at NextEnergy Capital Group. As a key member of our Project Development team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the continued expansion of our development pipeline.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Feasibility Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of project feasibility, identifying potential risks and opportunities for growth.
  • Land Sourcing and Acquisition: Identify and secure suitable land for project development, including solar, wind, battery storage, and green hydrogen projects.
  • Negotiation and Contracting: Negotiate land rental and purchase terms, as well as access and cable easements and wayleaves, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with technical, planning, and solicitor teams to deliver viable projects, providing expert advice and guidance as needed.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Represent NextEnergy Capital Group in discussions with statutory bodies and community groups, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder management.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in your approach, being open to new challenges and opportunities.
  • Intellectual Curiosity: Show a genuine interest in the field of land sourcing and acquisition, with a willingness to learn and bring fresh ideas to the team.
  • IT Literacy: Possess intermediate-level Excel skills and be comfortable working with IT systems and data.
  • Delivery Focus: Demonstrate a strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload, and deliver high-quality outputs in a timely manner.
  • Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving: Apply strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to overcome challenges and achieve project goals.

Requirements
  • Qualifications: Degree qualified in surveying, engineering, or renewable energy.
  • UK Farming Environment Knowledge: Possess a good understanding of the UK farming environment.
  • Driving License: Hold a full, clean UK driving license.
  • Right to Work: Have the right to work in the UK.
