Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementation of a comprehensive land acquisition methodology to ensure thorough inquiry prior to public consultation and application submission
  • Management of Requests for Information (RFIs) and Land Interest Questionnaires (LIQs)
  • Interpretation of complex Land Registry titles
  • Management of land data
  • Preparation of statutory compliant Books of Reference and Compulsory Purchase Order Schedules
  • Creation of Land Plans, Order Plans, Deposited Plans, and Rights of Way Plans
  • Facilitation of Land Access for surveys
  • Issuance of statutory acquisition notices
  • Monitoring of notice returns
  • Preparation and management of site notices using mobile technology
  • Representation of land referencing expertise at hearings or Public Inquiries
  • Development of tailored plans for Land & Works Agreements
  • Engagement with landowners and stakeholders
  • Assistance throughout the Optioneering process

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree in a relevant field, such as Geography, Geospatial Science, Estate Management, or Planning
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow clear instructions within tight deadlines and minimal supervision
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Understanding of confidentiality in handling sensitive information
  • Proficient in prioritizing tasks
  • Accurate record-keeping abilities
  • Teamwork skills with effective delegation capabilities
  • Willingness to learn new skills and systems
  • Strong IT proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel
