Job Overview

A full-time position as a Cardiology Registrar is available at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The Cardiology department provides a comprehensive service, and this role will offer opportunities for subspecialization training.

Main Duties

The post-holder will participate in the department's inpatient and outpatient activities. The Cardiology Registrars operate within a full-shift system, with whole-time equivalents. Subspecialty experience will be dependent on the NTN group and availability of opportunities, which may include:

  • Transthoracic, stress, and transoesophageal echocardiography
  • Heart Failure ward rounds and inpatient care
  • In-house and outreach specialist outpatient clinics
  • Multi-disciplinary team meetings (genetics, cardiomyopathy, TAVI, etc.)
  • Electrophysiology studies
  • Cardiac CT lists
