About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Maiden Castle House, a state-of-the-art residential and dementia care home in Dorset. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with a team of Care Assistants to provide guidance and support throughout their shifts.
  • Identify and respond to the individual needs and abilities of our residents, delivering person-centered care that promotes independence and dignity.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, building strong relationships and fostering a sense of community.
  • Act as a point of escalation for any incidents or events in the home, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all residents.
  • Contribute to the creation of a co-operative, friendly, and welcoming atmosphere within the home.
Requirements:
  • Naturally caring and compassionate individual with a strong desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
  • Completed or working towards an NVQ3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) and relevant care experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of care planning and medication administration.
