Job Title: Assets and Contract Administrator

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Commercial and Contractual Aspects: Manage commercial and contractual aspects of tendering, negotiating, awarding, and managing all contracts and major purchase orders. Interface with department managers, project managers, and project engineers to develop scopes.
  2. Compliance and Risk Management: Maintain effective compliance to BMS in accordance with Company procedures and systems, including risk and opportunity sensitivities.
  3. Project Bonds and Insurance: Arrange all project bonds, guarantees, and insurances as required.
  4. Commercial and Contractual Advice: Provide commercial and contractual advice to department managers and Project Management Teams (PMT).
  5. Contractor Liaison: Liaise with project managers and project engineers leading to negotiation and execution of all Variation Orders (VO) with contractors.
  6. Risk and Issue Management: Highlight any major commercial or contractual risks or issues to the relevant managers and work with them to ensure optimum solutions.
  7. Project Close-out: Ensure signature of acceptance, performance feedbacks, and satisfactory monitoring of bonds/warranty, etc.
  8. Commodity Spend Analysis: Analyze commodity spend information, including market analysis, and develop sourcing strategies.
  9. Contractor Compliance: Ensure adherence of contractor to the contract/project administration procedures.
  10. Contractual Support: Assist project manager in contractual matters during the project duration.
  11. Supplier Management: Assist the contract holder with supplier management activity, including performance reviews.
  12. Health, Safety, Environment, and Security (HSES): Report any unsafe or environmentally unsound acts and conditions to their immediate supervisor, ensuring remedial action is taken to manage the risk.

  1. Professional Qualification: Professional or degree-level qualification in a quantity surveying, business, or legal discipline.
  2. Previous Experience: Previous experience with marine and vessel projects.
