About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Acute Medicine Consultant to join our team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Acute Medicine department, you will provide clinical leadership and direction for the multi-professional team in the management of acute medical patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead ward rounds and direct the management of patients
  • Perform practical procedures and teach junior medical and other staff
  • Attend multidisciplinary meetings and participate in governance activities
  • Liaise with other professionals within and outside the Trust
Requirements
  • Full and specialist registration with the GMC
  • Experience in acute medicine and ability to take responsibility for delivering service without direct supervision
  • Up-to-date knowledge and experience of relevant specialty
  • Knowledge of NHS priorities and clinical governance principles
