Job Title: Propulsor Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Propulsor Systems Engineer to join our team at BAE Systems. As a member of our Propulsor Team, you will be responsible for supporting the design, manufacture, and in-service support of propulsors across multiple platforms.

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience

About the Role:

  • You will be involved in the design of composite structures and ensuring compliance through written calculations and reports
  • You will undertake peer review checking activities to approve methods and calculations
  • You will lead and support the identification and rapid closure of issues emerging from all product lifecycle stages
  • You will support technical development and research activities, methods, and acceptance criterion, liaising with industrial partners and external customers as necessary
  • You will provide realistic programme status, identify problem areas, and implement agreed recovery plans
  • You will support junior engineers within the team
  • You will support installation activities in the production environment

Your Skills and Qualifications:

Essential

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree (or related STEM degree)
  • Understanding of material strength properties (elastic and plastic properties)

The Propulsor Team:

The Propulsor Team are responsible for supporting the design, manufacture, and in-service support for propulsors across multiple platforms. The team uses various pieces of design software as well as being involved in manufacturing and installation activities. The team provides a full cradle to grave level of support to all things related to propulsors.
