About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our Capital Works team in Housing Services. As a key member of our team, you will play a leading role in our fully funded five-year capital investment programme, helping to upgrade and improve a portfolio of some 21,000 homes.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team involved in day-to-day planning and management of construction operations, ensuring we minimise disruption to residents whilst driving value for the council, leaseholders and other stakeholders. You will also develop and manage key partnerships and business relationships that contribute to the success of the capital programme.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a team of construction professionals to deliver capital works projects
  • Developing and managing key partnerships and business relationships
  • Ensuring best practices are followed and costs are controlled
  • Driving performance and inspiring a team to deliver results

We are looking for a commercially minded and customer driven individual with in-depth expertise in construction programme management, ideally within a public sector context. If you have a passion for delivering high-quality projects and a commitment to excellence, we want to hear from you.
