Reliability Maintenance Engineering Area Manager

At Amazon, we are seeking an experienced Reliability Maintenance Engineering Area Manager to join our team in one of our highly automated and fast-paced Fulfilment Centres (FC).

Key responsibilities include supporting the Reliability Maintenance Engineering Manager in implementing, recording, and auditing safety and statutory compliance programs to ensure a safe working environment for all staff. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for implementing network standards and focusing on preventative maintenance to provide a high level of equipment availability to our internal customers.

Other key responsibilities include ensuring sufficient technical coverage is available for the shifts they own by managing and driving the training program for the team, managing local projects or supporting EU level projects as assigned by the manager, and being prepared to work on shift to maintain a strong connection to the team and daily work.

Required qualifications include a degree or NVQ Level 4 in a relevant engineering discipline or served a full engineering indentured apprenticeship, with multi-skilled experience in both electrical and mechanical disciplines. Experience of automated equipment including packaging machinery, sortation and conveyor systems is also essential. Excellent communications skills (written & verbal) in English and excellent computer skills (MS Office, CAD) are also required.

Preferred qualifications include experience working with PLC based control systems and project management experience.
