Reliability Maintenance Engineering Role

About the Job

The Reliability Maintenance Engineering team at ENGINEERINGUK is crucial to our operations - they're the ones keeping vital machinery running at all times. You'll help to keep your colleagues safe and prevent machine downtime. Our Reliability Maintenance Engineers boost the availability and quality of our equipment and work to enhance the operational environment too.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Carry out proactive and preventative maintenance tasks on a wide range of site equipment
  2. Perform reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in a live distribution warehouse
  3. Utilize the latest tools to maximize equipment effectiveness
  4. Adhere to all health and safety policies and practices
  5. Support the development and progression of on-site apprentices
  6. Work on continuous improvement projects and roll out best practices across a range of EU sites

A Day in the Life
Our Reliability Maintenance Engineers are based on-site, so they can respond quickly to any machinery issues. You'll carry out a range of planned preventative maintenance to our sites' equipment to make sure it's working safely. You'll also make suggestions for long-term improvements.

Working alongside senior colleagues, you'll undertake day-to-day maintenance tasks like painting and plumbing and will liaise with contractors if you need external expertise. You'll work on a range of shifts to make sure our sites are supported around the clock - allowing ENGINEERINGUK to deliver at the speed we're known for.

About the Team
Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering team keeps our equipment performing at its best. We work together to maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment across our global network of fulfilment centres. From installing automated packaging systems to overseeing the general maintenance of a site to repairing key distribution equipment, our team handles most aspects of ENGINEERINGUK's technical side. We often work during early or late hours to carry out maintenance with minimal disruption, including night shifts.

Basic Qualifications

  1. NVQ Level 3 (or international equivalent) in an engineering discipline or another practical engineering qualification
  2. Relevant experience as a qualified engineer
  3. Relevant experience working in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance
  4. Advanced proficiency in the local language verbally and in writing
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Experience in condition-based monitoring
  2. Experience working with print and apply machines
  3. Experience in fault-finding and maintaining conveyor or automation systems
