Offshore Maintenance and Reliability Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Offshore Maintenance and Reliability Engineer to join our team at Shell UK in Norfolk, UK. As a key member of our Engineering and Reliability department, you will be responsible for maintaining the reliability and technical integrity of our assets' safety and production critical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Reliability Improvement: Analyze and improve the performance of offshore and onshore structures through maintenance analysis and reliability improvement loops.
  2. Structural Inspection Planning: Plan and execute structural inspections to ensure the integrity of our assets.
  3. Maintenance Input: Provide maintenance input into Asset Integrity and structural engineering support for onshore and offshore structures.
  4. Contract Management: Act as contract holder for hoisting and structural engineering related contracts.
  5. Audits and Reviews: Participate in audits and reviews to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. ROV System Selection: Advise on the specification and selection of ROV launch and recovery systems for new build vessels.
  2. Handling System Improvement: Monitor and expedite the manufacture, assembly, and test of new and upgraded handling systems.
  3. Reliability Enhancement: Identify and implement improvements to enhance the capability, performance, and reliability of our ROV launch and recovery systems.

Requirements:

  1. Experience: Proven experience working with oil tankers, gas carriers, and floating production or storage vessels.
  2. Language Skills: Fluent spoken and written English is essential.
  3. Technical Skills: Excellent presentation and Microsoft Office skills, with knowledge of marine engineering, including basic propulsion systems, cargo transfer systems, and outfit equipment.
