Project Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated PhD researcher to join our multidisciplinary team developing a novel solution for better detection and treatment of cancer using ultra-thin snake-like robots and advanced optical imaging techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research in biophotonics and medical robotics to develop a radical solution for cancer detection and treatment.
  • Work jointly between the labs of Prof. Notingher, Dr. Gordon, and Dr. Mohammad to develop a probe that enables precise navigation into the body, delivering high-resolution imaging and molecular Raman sensing.
  • Collaborate with a world-class multi-disciplinary team consisting of physicists, engineers, and clinicians to develop a 3D mapping of cancer tissue.

Requirements:

  • A 1st degree in physics or engineering.
  • An interest in optics and some ability in computer programming.
  • A desire to learn new skills in complementary disciplines.
