Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Duty Manager to oversee the smooth running of our bar and restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality management, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities- Be a key holder and responsible for the security of the building when opening and locking up.
- Open or close the building in accordance with the set procedure, as required.
- Conduct a full fire safety check of the entire building at the start of each shift and immediately address any areas of concern.
- Work with the General Manager to ensure the building complies with all health and safety and licensing policies.
- Take a lead role in managing incidents and emergencies while on duty.
- Undertake all regular duties as dictated by the needs of the business.
- Oversee the bar operations, cleanliness of all front and back of house areas, and follow the cashing up process.
- Allocate and record petty cash for the restaurant and kitchen consumables.
- Ensure the garden, restaurant, Theatre, rooms for hire, and toilets are presentable and welcoming at all times.
- Liaise with the Head Chef and Hirer to ensure the smooth running of the bar and restaurant operations.
- Monitor staff attendance and report to the General Manager any staffing issues.
- Support staff in delivering outstanding customer service.
- Confidently supervise all Front of House staff on a day-to-day basis, including managing breaks and motivating staff.
- Take responsibility for the calm and efficient evacuation of the entire venue in the event of an emergency.
- Support the General Manager and staff in any tasks or events.
- A strong and diverse Duty Manager experience, with an emphasis on restaurant management.
- The ability to deliver a high standard of service and maintain high standards of quality.
- An outgoing individual with a great attitude towards their work and a passion for satisfying guests.
- A great attention to detail and a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
- The ability to communicate effectively with both clients and staff.
You will be working as part of a small team of enthusiastic individuals, with two other Duty Managers on a 5-shift pattern, Monday to Sunday. The shift pattern will be influenced by events and mainly the bar and restaurant requirements.
We offer a competitive salary of £23,500.00-£27,000.00 per year.
