Autism Support Assistant - Unqualified Role

EdEx Education Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and passionate Autism Support Assistant to join our team at a Primary School in Lewisham. As an Autism Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to pupils with ASD, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and inclusion staff to create a tailored learning environment that meets the needs of each pupil.
  • Develop and implement engaging activities and programs to enhance pupil engagement and motivation.
  • Communicate effectively with pupils, parents, and staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive team approach.

Requirements:

  • Passion for working with children with Autism and a commitment to providing high-quality support.
  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and staff.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and adapt to changing circumstances.
