Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Autism Spectrum Disorder Teacher to join our team at Qualiteach Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing tailored lesson plans that cater to the individual needs of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement tailored lesson plans that cater to the individual needs of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and learning.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including teaching assistants, speech therapists, and occupational therapists, to provide holistic support.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary to ensure each student reaches their full potential.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on student progress and involving them in the educational process.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS / Education degree
- Proven experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, particularly at Key Stage 3
- Strong understanding of ASD-specific teaching strategies and interventions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with best practices in ASD education
