Search is a leading recruitment agency that specializes in placing talented individuals in top companies across various industries. We are currently seeking a skilled Accounts Assistant to join our client's dynamic accounts team in Preston.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a well-established company in the sporting industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the sales ledger, raising sales invoices, and processing purchase invoices and credit card payments using AI-driven software.

They will also assist with processing both monthly and weekly payroll, contribute to the month-end management accounting process, and oversee electronic banking payments and manage petty cash.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience working in a busy accounts department and be familiar with computerized accounting software, particularly Sage 50.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the sales ledger and raise sales invoices.
  • Process purchase invoices and credit card payments using AI-driven software.
  • Assist with processing both monthly and weekly payroll.
  • Contribute to the month-end management accounting process, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
  • Process employee expenses through a designated software system.
  • Oversee electronic banking payments and manage petty cash.

Requirements:

  • AAT or CIMA qualification or progress toward it (study support may be provided).
  • Experience in assisting with month-end management accounts.

Salary and Benefits:

  • A competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
