Autism Teaching and Learning Specialist

We are recruiting 2-3 Teaching Assistants to join our team at a specialist alternative provision in Kings Lynn Norfolk.
The school supports students from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 4, focusing on students with challenging behaviour, barriers to learning, and in some cases Autism and/or ADHD.
This is a full-time class-based role that involves close collaboration with students who have SEMH, ADHD, and Autism.
The annual salary for this position is estimated between £18,000 and £19,000 (£21,988 full-time equivalent), making it an attractive opportunity for individuals interested in supporting students with special educational needs.
Person Specification
- Passionate and understanding individual
- Ability to remain non-judgmental
- Experience working with children/young people with challenging behaviour, Autism or ADHD in a SEN or mainstream setting
- Strong knowledge of effective behaviour management techniques
- Exceptional communication skills
- Continuous Professional Development (CPD) opportunities available for de-escalation training
