Job Description

Premier Work Support is seeking a Waste Management Director to lead our cleaning and waste management department at a prestigious exhibition centre in London's Royal Docks.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, waste management practices, and environmental regulations. They will be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.

The Waste Management Director will be responsible for creating and delivering a long-term vision for the cleaning and waste management teams while actively meeting our ESG targets and realising additional revenue.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading, mentoring, and managing direct reports and the wider cleaning and waste management teams effectively.
  • Developing a new area of specialism and expertise for 'waste management' and working with the waste manager to proactively develop this innovation for the business.
  • Managing capex planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control for cleaning supplies, equipment, waste management, and 3rd party staff schedules.

The Waste Management Director will also be responsible for implementing sustainable practices to reduce waste generation, increase recycling rates, and minimise environmental impact. This includes conducting regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and proper waste disposal practices throughout.

The successful candidate will have experience in sustainability principles and implementing sustainable practices in cleaning and waste management. They will also have knowledge of current industry trends and best practices.
