Job Description

**Senior Control Systems Engineer**

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Control Systems Engineer to join our team at Automation Experts Ltd. As a Senior Control Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing control systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide control system solutions for special purpose machinery
  • Design, develop, and review system software, including machine start-up and debug
  • Integrate and validate new product designs
  • Support software QA and interface with hardware design and development
  • Develop technical and electrical controls systems requirements
  • Develop machine sequence and control flow charts
  • Develop Human Machine Interface programs for machine control
  • Develop design documentation, including theory of operation, help files, and technical specifications
  • Provide technical support to Service Technicians and customers
  • Participate in efforts to improve design, architecture, and programming conventions of Controls applications
Requirements
  • Proficiently utilize programming languages and methods, including Ladder Logic and ST/SCL
  • Proficiently integrate safety control systems and methods using Siemens and Allen Bradley technologies
  • Create, read, and edit electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control station layouts
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • Attention to detail and results-driven approach
  • Computer literate, with experience in ACAD, MS Office, and CRM
Preferred Skills
  • PLC/Motion Control Programming with Simotion Scout, Logix Designer, Studio 5000, and TIA Portal
  • HMI Design with WinCC, FactoryTalk View Studio, and FactoryTalk Optix
  • SINUMERIK configuration experience
  • Programming in S7-GRAPH and Sequential Function Chart
  • Electrical schematic and panel design using ePLAN
