Job Title: SEMH Support AssistantAbout the Role:

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Support Assistant to join our team in Newham. As a SEMH Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs.

  • Provide one-on-one support during lessons and assist with the development of coping strategies for managing emotions.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with students who have SEMH needs or in a similar support role is preferable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect with students and colleagues.

  • A strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices, with successful applicants required to complete all necessary background checks, including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
