Main Responsibilities

This is an exciting opportunity to join Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust as a Mental Health Practitioner. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with mental health needs.

You will work closely with the psychiatric liaison team, mental health matron, and other clinical staff to ensure the safety and wellbeing of service users. Your duties will include providing enhanced care and continuous observations, acting as a resource for other professionals, and working flexibly between clinical environments.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Nursing Associate qualification or QCF Level 3 in Health (or equivalent) with at least 2 years' experience working with patients who have mental health needs.
  • Able to speak and write English to an appropriate standard to fulfill the job requirements.
  • Evidence of continued professional development.
  • Formal training in mental health risk assessment and management, prevention and management of violence and aggression, breakaway training, and therapeutic de-escalation skills.
