We are seeking an experienced Head of Operations to lead the launch and management of our new 60,000 sqft depot in Worcester. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for recruiting, managing, and developing the operations teams to enhance critical relationships and processes affecting the sales team and region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively manage the operation and build a right-first-time culture.
  • Manage the commercial operation of the depot to ensure the profit budget target is met or exceeded.
  • Lead the depot management team to drive operational efficiencies, service excellence, and productivity.
  • Demonstrate expected behaviours and standards of a people leader to recruit, engage, and develop the capability of our people.
  • Support and work with the sales teams to ensure the development and retention of accounts and maximize commercial opportunities.
  • Manage relationships with Central departments to enhance internal service standards and facilitate service to customers.
  • Ensure good management practice and all processes are followed to ensure the health and safety of employees and customers.
  • Oversee compliance with all legal regulations and company standards.
Requirements
  • Experience in a similar role with a strong track record of people management and leadership.
  • Ability to lead by example and build a proactive and engaged workforce.
  • Experience of setting up new depots or distribution centers is a plus.
  • Effective commercial operation management and sales force understanding.
  • Project management experience and IT literacy.
