Business Development Manager

Givaudan is seeking an experienced and driven Account Manager to join their team in the UK market. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing business with designated accounts.
The ideal candidate will have a background in the food or related industry, with experience in sales, marketing, or customer relationship management. You will be based in Milton Keynes and report to the Sales Director Savoury & Snacks UK & Ireland.
Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers, positioning Givaudan as the preferred supplier, and creating and implementing strategic Account Development Plans. You will also be responsible for managing the brief pipeline, defending and growing base business, and negotiating pricing agreements.
Requirements include a university degree in a relevant field, 4-6 years of successful sales or marketing experience, and knowledge of the UK market. The ideal candidate will have negotiation and relationship-building skills, excellent communication and presentation skills, and be self-motivated and results-oriented.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in designated accounts.
- Position Givaudan as the preferred supplier by understanding customer needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Create and implement Strategic Account Development Plans (ADPs), sales forecasts, and budgets for key accounts, with clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to achieve growth.
- Manage the brief pipeline to achieve growth plans, ensuring quality and quantity of projects meet customer expectations.
- Defend and grow base business in key markets and with key customers, identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services.
- Negotiate pricing agreements within guidelines and manage credit, pricing, rebates, and terms for key accounts.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify and maximize opportunities for new business development.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as R&D, Marketing, and Supply Chain to ensure seamless execution of customer projects and initiatives.
- Provide regular reports and updates on account performance, market trends, and customer insights to the management team.
Requirements:
- University degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Sales, Marketing)
- 4-6 years of successful sales, marketing, or customer relationship experience in the food or related industry
- Knowledge of customers and competition in the UK market
- Negotiation and relationship-building skills with key customer decision-makers
