Support Worker (Children with Additional Needs)

We are seeking an experienced support worker to join our team at Warrington Borough Council. In this role, you will provide direct support to children and families who require additional help.

About the Role

You will be responsible for providing emotional and practical support to children and families, helping them to navigate the complexities of the social care system. You will also work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure that children receive the best possible support.

A UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential for this role, as you will need to travel to various locations throughout the borough. You must also be able to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct support to children and families who require additional help
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to achieve the best outcomes
  • Connect families to relevant services, activities, and organisations
  • Explore opportunities for short breaks support and Continuing Health Care referrals

As a valued member of our team, you will receive a competitive salary of £36,000 - £41,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also benefit from a generous holiday allowance, access to our health and wellbeing programme, and a range of employee benefits.
