About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Payroll professional to join our internal payroll team as Payroll Team Leader. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in leading our payroll operations, maintaining a high level of customer service to our colleagues, and ensuring all deadlines are achieved.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Manage the Trust's Payroll Team, providing specialist Payroll support and undertaking appraisals and absence management.
  2. Plan and organise the efficient distribution of total workload between team members to ensure all areas of payroll are completed in line with strict deadlines.
  3. Forward plan the workload to meet the department's objectives and deadlines, taking a longer-term view into account for future changes in the Trust or department.
  4. Participate in the department's training sessions provided to managers across the Trust.

Person Specification
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience plus further training and experience to post graduate diploma equivalent.
  • Previous senior payroll role.
  • Advanced IT Systems including - Microsoft Office.
  • Experience of dealing with complex payroll cases.
