Key Responsibilities:
  1. Contribute to the implementation of continuous improvements for project execution strategy for local project operations in alignment with Local Division and Business Area strategies.
  2. Ensure the local portfolio of projects is managed consistently, based on best practices and ABB policies, including accurate forecasting of revenues, Profit & Loss, and Operating Cash Flow.
  3. Lead the Project Management Office (PMO) team and ensure that ABB policies, directives, instructions, and guidelines are followed.
  4. Ensure that findings from lessons learned from project execution are incorporated in continuous improvement actions.
  5. Participate in Bid/Sales Phase, including estimating and resource planning.
  6. Oversee project management activities at the portfolio level through project reviews with the management team and Project Managers. Take an active role in resolving escalated issues and oversee that project portfolio closure is performed properly, as per contracts entered with customers and on time.
  7. Oversee the proper application of contract and claim management methods in accordance with ABB policies and contractual agreements.
  8. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders of the PMO (Controllers, Operations, Sales, Service). Serve as an escalation point for individual and systemic project management issues.
  9. Collaborate and work with the HUB Project Execution Manager to support knowledge sharing and best practices across the HUB countries.
  10. Reinforce and maintain a culture of Health & Safety in all project operations.
  11. Lead the PMO team to establish and enforce an effective project management approach to achieve both project and organizational goals. Oversee competency assessments and ensure that project staff is licensed and certified appropriately.
  12. Lead and coach the Project Execution teams to achieve defined business objectives.
  13. Proven leadership track record of leading large project teams and evidencing good collaboration.
  14. Customer-oriented & strategic mindset with passion to drive business results through project delivery.
  15. Excellent written and spoken communication capabilities in English.
