Job Title: Principal ICT Officer

Hull City Council is seeking a highly skilled Principal ICT Officer to lead the delivery of digital projects that transform services across the Council.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering digital solutions and will be confident in leading on all aspects of project delivery. They will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with suppliers, service areas, and ICT colleagues to plan and deliver projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage digital improvement projects using project management methodologies
  • Solve complex technical problems in liaison with stakeholders
  • Conduct business analysis to extract business requirements and enable implementation of fit-for-purpose solutions
  • Knowledge of new and emerging technologies and the value digital can bring to Council services
  • Maintain positive relationships with service areas, suppliers, and ICT colleagues
Requirements

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of project management methodologies and experience in leading digital projects. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
