About The Role

We are looking for a caring and compassionate individual to join our team as a Residential Care Assistant at Meadowyrthe, a 41-bedded residential home in Tamworth.

No experience is necessary, as full training will be provided. We have full-time and part-time contracts available, with shifts between 7am and 10pm, including alternate weekends.

The role of a Nexxus Care Assistant is varied and dynamic, with no two days being the same. You will support residents with aspects of their personal care, ensuring their safety, comfort, and happiness within their home.

Some of your duties may include:

  • Assisting residents with washing, bathing, toileting, dressing, and undressing, promoting independence and dignity.
  • Providing support during mealtimes, ensuring dietary needs are met and recorded if necessary.
  • Ensuring care plans are followed, providing person-centred care, and respecting residents' choices and autonomy.
  • Supporting residents during activities and ensuring their well-being and happiness.

What We Need from You

We require:

  • Ability to work shifts between 7am and 10pm, including alternate weekends.
  • A desire to provide personal care and support services that respect residents' rights and choices.
  • Proof of the right to work in the UK (passport, visa).
  • Completion of a DBS check (initial cost covered by Nexxus Care).
  • Professional references from previous employers.
  • Completion of a mandatory 3-day classroom-based induction (paid training provided).
