HPC Systems Administrator Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced HPC Systems Administrator to join our team at AWE Plc. As a key member of our High-Performance Computing (HPC) team, you will be responsible for planning, installing, and commissioning new HPC systems, as well as providing day-to-day support.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience working with high-performance computers, scripting skills, and awareness of computer security concepts. They will also be able to work independently and as part of a team, possess good problem-solving skills, and have excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • System Installation: Plan, install, and commission new HPC systems.
  • System Support: Provide day-to-day technical support for HPC systems.
  • Tool Development: Collaborate with colleagues to design and develop in-house tools to streamline HPC platform administration.

We offer a competitive salary of £48,000 - £75,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package, including a 9-day working fortnight, market-leading pension scheme, and generous annual leave allowance.
