Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Special Support Assistant to join our team at Tradewind Recruitment. As a key member of our support staff, you will provide individualized support to learners with severe additional learning difficulties, assisting them in developing and implementing personalized learning plans. With a focus on academic and life skills, you will encourage pupils to participate in work experience programs and community visits.

Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support to learners with special educational needs
- Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement learning plans
- Promote independence and self-confidence among pupils
- Facilitate participation in extracurricular activities and events

Requirements:
- Previous experience working with special educational needs is essential
- Ability to communicate effectively with learners, teachers, and other support staff
- Willingness to take on training and development provided by the agency and school
