Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality patient care during the peri-operative phase.
- Support the management and organisation of care within the operating department.
- Provide clinical and managerial leadership to ensure quality patient care.
- Lead in the delivery of patient care during a list or specified period.
- Ensure patient safety checks are carried out in accordance with policy.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Develop and enhance the skills and knowledge of others and self.
- Promote best evidence-based practice within own scope of practice.
- Apply legislation, policies, and procedures correctly.
Requirements:
- Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration.
- Post-registration qualification relevant to functional specialty.
- ENB 998 and/or mentorship course.
- Approved/recognised anaesthetic course.
- ILS.
- Orthopaedic skill.
- Mentorship qualification.
- ILM3.
- Previous experience working within an acute healthcare environment.
- Previous experience managing and leading a clinical team.
