About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to provide tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs or a Disability (SEND). As a key member of our team, you will work closely with the SENCo and class teachers to deliver in-class support and small-group teaching in Key Stage 3-4.

Your calm and patient approach will be essential in creating a nurturing environment for our students to thrive. You will also be responsible for liaising with the SENCo, class teachers, and parents to ensure seamless communication and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct support to students with SEND, ensuring they make good progress in the mainstream curriculum.
  • Work collaboratively with the SENCo and class teachers to develop and implement individualized support plans.
  • Liaise with parents and other professionals to ensure consistent support and communication.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A calm and patient demeanor, with a nurturing approach.
  • Good understanding of the academy's teaching and learning policies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • GCSE English and Maths grade C or above, or equivalent.
