Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic Therapeutic Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Empowering Learning. As a Psychology Graduate, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with Anxiety, Depression, SEMH, and high-functioning Autism in a small, therapeutic, and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils with emotional regulation and develop therapeutic relationships with them.
  • Understand therapy goals and aims, and promote and support the inclusion of all pupils in learning activities.
  • Engage and support pupils' learning, and maximize their achievement.
  • Comfortably support pupils with Anxiety, Depression, SEMH, and high-functioning Autism.

Requirements
  • Experience in supporting children or young adults with SEND needs is desirable but not essential.
  • Able to de-escalate and support emotional regulation.
  • Valid DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
  • Available 5 days a week and able to commit to at least 12-39 weeks.
